Dear Parents, Faculty & Staff,

The LMS PTA extends a warm welcome to everyone and invites you to attend our monthly meetings which are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the LMS Library. It's a great way to get to know your school.

If you haven’t joined already, please note that there is a membership application located on the back of this newsletter. Please join the LMS PTA. It is only with your support that we can continue to sponsor programs such as Arts Fair, MS&T Expo, and Reflections. We also contribute funding toward the school planners, the BOLTS program and assembly programs. Did you know that being a PTA member entitles you to discounts at places like Barnesandnoble.com, Liberty Mutual and Southwest Airlines Vacations? You can find out about these and other benefits by visiting www.pta.org/benefits, your password is on the back of your membership card.

One final important note, the PTA and the LMS Community Service Club, led by Mrs. Newsom, are participating in the Annual Coat Drive for Dutchess Outreach from September 24 through October 31. Please bring any coats, child or adult sizes, still in descent condition to LMS and drop them in the boxes located in the school lobby. Last year, we collected 130 coats! Thanks so much for your generosity. It is an awesome feeling, and a great lesson for children to help others in need.
